A smoothie is refreshing whenever temperatures soar and you’re busy with summertime activities. Smoothies can be filling when you are busy and great for breakfast. With summer heat, a watermelon and strawberry smoothie is a perfect drink to soothe and nourish you. The blend of fruits is sweet and goes down smooth. No wonder it’s called a smoothie 🙂
5 cups watermelon pieces, seedless
6 ounces of frozen strawberries
2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tbsp. honey
- Place the watermelon pieces into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Add the strawberries, lemon juice, and honey and blend again until smooth.
- Serve right away garnished with strawberries and watermelon pieces, or refrigerate for up to 1 day.
