As we are nearing the end of phase two of the Metabolism Miracle Diet, I thought it would be good to discuss body image. We all started with a target goal of weight loss for this diet. However, I feel like this diet is so easy, that it’s hard to let it go and some people may have a hard time moving on to the final phase because of fear of weight gain. It’s important to remember that this diet works in phases and you must follow it. Although, you can stay in phase two as long as you need to for your ideal weight reach, you must move on after that goal is met.
If you find yourself unwilling to move on, yet you have reached your target weight, it’s time to take a step back and re-evaluate the situation. Many times, a fear of gaining weight is caused by the wrong image of oneself. May be you are struggling with body image issues, and chatting with a specialist for body image would be helpful. It gives people a little bit of needed exercise while they work towards a healthy state of mind. Both the walking and talking in these session have the same purpose – healthy weight and eating habits. Studies have shown that exercise and particularly the movement of walking stimulates the mind towards clarity, thus aiding the therapeutic process. Regardless of which ever type of help you seek out, talking to a professional can help with not only fears of weight gain, but also if you are on the other end of the spectrum and still trying to reach your weight goal.
