The Path to Personal Power: Day 14 of Become What You Believe – 21 Day Meditation Experience with Oprah and Deepak Chopra

One person with a belief is equal to ninety-nine who have only interests.”

— John Stuart Mill

Today we learn that we have the authentic personal power to create meaningful change. When our core beliefs are untied with our true self we achieve personal power. You can measure your progress in the path of personal power by look for greater fulfillment in areas of love, self-worth, feeling safe, and feeling fulfilled and whole. You can also look for positive reflections in daily life.

Today’s Message of the Day:

“Today’s meditation is about using your personal power. However, personal power is not about changing the world around you. It is about the power to change the world within you. This means that as we open our awareness to our core beliefs and true self, we organize, clarify, and reconfigure our internal life so that our thoughts and actions have meaning and bring a feeling of fulfillment.

The true self imbues our beliefs with the personal power that can achieve our goals with the least effort and a minimum of obstacles and confusion.”

The CENTERING THOUGHT for today’s meditation experience was:

“I am always moving toward my true self.”

The SANSKRIT MANTRA used in the meditation:

Paramesh Wari Namah

(My true Self has unlimited creative power.)

This mantra accesses the unlimited universal power within us to nurture and guide our progress.

Today’s four journal prompts were:

  1. Personal power is a state of inner fulfillment. In terms of love, self-worth, feeling safe, and feeling whole, write down how fulfilled you are in each area.
  2. List the action steps you can take to give yourself positive input in each area. It’s usually easier if you do this as if giving advice to a close friend.
  3. Write down one step toward positive input you can achieve right now. For example, by being of service, giving to the needy, helping a child, rescuing an abandoned animal, dealing with real causes of anxiety, or of course, meditation.
  4. Use this space to reflect further on your experience today.

As we prepare for our final week in this transformative journey, try to reflect on the transformations you’ve experienced so far. Has expanded awareness of your beliefs changed your relationship with yourself and others at all?

May your evenings be peaceful and your days energetic!
