I’m not a huge fan of Mastro’s. I think it is a bit pretentious and I have had better steaks elsewhere. I’m sure the original Mastro’s Steakhouse in Scottsdale was quite the contrary back when it was privately owned, but I never ate there, so I really can’t give my comparison opinion on it. Don’t get me wrong… they do serve good steaks and some of there sides are fabulous, but it’s nothing I have never had before. Anyhow, despite the food that failed to impress me, I did find the Mastro’s Margarita to be exceptional and I thought it deserved a mention. That is one thing about these fine dining spots, they always have an expert mixologist in house.
