“Getting Unstuck: Creating a Limitless Life” Day 1- Getting Unstuck Leads to Fulfillment

Welcome to the first week of our journey with Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey on “Getting Unstuck: Creating a Limitless Life” – Oprah & Deepak 21-Day Meditation Experience. This first week is all about focusing on expanding awareness of living in the present moment, which in itself is renewal that brings new possibilities to the surface. By actualizing the present moment, the eternal “now,” we see ourselves in the limitless place where thought, feeling, and action can emerge in unique creation.

For the next 21 days, each day I will follow along and post my experience with the inspirational quote, a mantra to focus on during meditation and a centering thought, as well as the message of the day alongside journal questions to help you further explore the day’s meditation. Today is day one.

As we focus on the present this week, today we expand our awareness on where we are stuck. It may be an ideal weight that you want to reach, but simply can’t get there, or relationship harmony that you are unable to attain because you are being overshadowed by old patterns. With these meditations we will remove the limits in life. Old beliefs and patterns often leave you with low expectations that set you up for limitations in life. You can’t change what you are not aware of, being aware of being stuck is the first step. Expanded awareness can accomplish anything. The steps to getting unstuck are the same regardless of what each individual wants to achieve.

MESSAGE OF THE DAY

Welcome to our 21-Day Meditation Experience, Getting Unstuck: Creating a Limitless Life. We are excited to have you joining us on this illuminating journey to learn how to get our lives “unstuck.” Together we will learn that getting unstuck means removing the limitations we experience in the areas of life that frustrate us. Whether it is work, relationships, or finances, our old patterns of behavior condition our perceptions and so we believe our choices are limited for experiencing the life we want.

In today’s meditation, we discover that to get unstuck, all we need to do is expand our awareness. In that awareness the limitations on our perceptions dissolve, our options or choices increase, and we find the inner fulfillment that is our true self. Over the next few weeks, we will learn ways to get unstuck and discover our inherent fulfillment in mind, body, and spirit.

JOURNAL QUESTIONS

1. Consider the person you want to be. Write down three things you value in this version of yourself, such as “I want to be emotionally fulfilled,” “I want to have high self-esteem,” or “I want to have a harmonious family life.”

2. Taking your three examples, describe the gap between who you want to be and who you are now. For instance, “I often lack emotional fulfillment,” “My self-esteem isn’t as high as I want it to be,” or “My family is having issues right now.”

3. Reflect on how you can close this gap. Pick any of the values you listed and write down two things you can do today to get unstuck, bringing yourself closer to who you want to be. Don’t worry if the steps are small, so long as they are positive.

4. Use this space to reflect further on your experience today.

Note:
We often get a feeling of being locked into a life we really don’t want. This meditation experience is to break out from that sense of frustration. This is not simply about painting or creating music. Living a creative un-limitless life happens from effortless energy. This 21 Day Meditation Experience is about closing the gap between being stuck and getting free – the gap between who you want to be and what is actually happening.
