21-Day Meditation Experience, “Getting Unstuck: Creating a Limitless Life” Day 16 – How to Make Your Environment Creative

We are all here in collaboration with each other and the universe, and we are our best when we allow transformation and growth in harmony with others. As we elevate ourselves, we inherently elevate others. Give the same confidence to others as you feel when you are believed in and listened to. Creativity can occur in not only physical space, but conscious space as well. And participation and appreciation encourages creativity.

Day 16 – How to Make Your Environment Creative

“Accept what is in front of you, without wanting the situation to be other than it is. Nature provides everything, without requiring thanks and provides for all.” – Lao Tzu

CENTERING THOUGHT
I create a space around me that is open and appreciative.

SANSKRIT MANTRA
Akhando Hum (My awareness is unlimited.)
This Mantra affirms the limitless unbounded nature of yourself aware presence.

MESSAGE OF THE DAY

To make a creative space we need to encourage appreciation, openness, and acceptance. If we are too rigid, closeminded, and judgmental, then the flow of creativity is restricted and blocked. Today’s meditation teaches us to listen to and respect everyone’s contributions. When we can show gratitude and appreciation for all the gifts that are offered in the present moment, we will have an environment where creative solutions always flow.

JOURNAL QUESTIONS

1. Write down a few ways you can make the space around you more open and creative. For instance, you could ask your coworkers for their insights into a particular project that is challenging you, or plan an activity together as a family that none of you have done before. Look for opportunities, first, to give others a chance to contribute what they want to do, say, and offer.
2. A creative space involves participation. Write down two ways you could participate more in activities at work or at home, such as speaking up more in meetings when you have a good idea, or preparing meals together as a family. Also add in ways you can encourage someone else to participate more.
3. A creative space requires appreciation. Journal about how you can show appreciation to two or three specific people today, even if only with a small word of encouragement or a smile.
4. Reflect further on your experience today.

Note:

Creativity happens in a creative space, which you can make for yourself and others around you.
This Mantra affirms the limitless unbounded nature of yourself aware presence.
